Costa Rica Women's Yoga Retreat

Sommer Sobin

Osa Peninsula sept 12-19, 2026

a week of yoga, deep rest, and reconnection in the wild beauty of the Osa Peninsula

Immerse yourself in the sacred splendor of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula, where lush jungle hums with life, waves roll onto quiet shores, and daily yoga invites you into deep connection with nature, spirit, and a circle of inspiring women.

Join Sommer Sobin for a 7 night women’s yoga retreat tucked into the wild, soul stirring beauty of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula. Just steps from the shores of the Golfo Dulce and surrounded by lush tropical jungle, this intentional gathering invites you to reconnect with nature and yourself in one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet.

With thoughtfully designed eco accommodations, vibrant farm to table meals, and deeply refined yoga practices, you are warmly welcomed into this sanctuary where your body, mind, and spirit can truly exhale. Having just returned from leading retreat here, I can say firsthand that the food, the property, and the open air jungle yoga shala are truly extraordinary. Every detail has been created to support deep rest, nourishment, and connection with the natural world.

Your days will begin with enlivening morning yoga and wind down with calming evening sessions, woven with plenty of free time to explore or simply be. Swim in the saltwater pool, wander down to the beautiful and serene beach just 100 meters away, enjoy therapeutic bodywork, or venture into the heart of the jungle. From hiking in Corcovado National Park to surfing, ziplining, or simply resting in a hammock with the sounds of the rainforest, every moment invites a deeper connection to the living world.

Midweek we will head out together on a boat adventure across the Golfo Dulce to swim in warm tropical waters and look for whales and dolphins that pass through these magical waters.

With a small, intentional group of women, we will share meals, practices, and laughter, offering one another the gift of presence and real connection.

*This retreat is limited to just 18 students for an intimate and spacious experience.

The Osa Peninsula is one of the most alive places on Earth. Nestled between the calm waters of the Golfo Dulce and miles of unspoiled rainforest, this region is a sanctuary for both wildlife and the human spirit. Monkeys in the trees, scarlet macaws overhead, whales and dolphins moving through the bay, and the lull of cicadas on a quiet, empty beach are all part of the daily rhythm here.

This is a place to slow down and remember what it means to be deeply connected to the Earth. Whether you are swimming in warm ocean waters, wandering jungle trails, or watching the sun rise over the bay, the Osa offers a rare kind of presence that is raw, restorative, and unforgettable.

Many past retreat goers have found deep connection—and even a new best friend—this way!

Late September is a magical time on the Osa Peninsula. The rainforest is lush and vibrant after the seasonal rains, temperatures are warm and comfortable in the low to mid 80s, and the Golfo Dulce remains calm and perfect for swimming. Mornings are often sunny and bright, while occasional afternoon showers refresh the air and bring the jungle fully alive.

This time of year is also wonderful for wildlife. Dolphins are frequently spotted in the bay and migrating whales often pass through the Golfo Dulce, making our boat excursion an especially memorable experience.

Bring a few lightweight, breathable outfits for warm weather, yoga clothes, a swimsuit, flip flops or sandals, a sun hat, reef-safe sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and closed toe shoes that can get wet for hiking and if there are rain showers.

A journal, a good book, and anything else that helps you unwind are great to have. No need for formal clothing—this is barefoot, beachy jungle living.

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel before June 15, 2026, your payment (minus the $500 deposit and a $150 administrative fee) will be refunded.

After June 15, no refunds will be issued.

You can pay with a US checking account or a credit card. There is a 2.9% service fee if paying by credit card.

Yes! Send us an email and we can work out the details.

All rooms are bright, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with comfort and simplicity in mind. The 7 double rooms include private ensuite bathrooms, and the 4 single rooms each share a bathroom with just one other guest.

Each space includes A/C, hotel-quality mattresses, and organic, locally sourced bath products to help you settle in with ease. Drift off to the sounds of the jungle and wake to birdsong and the gentle rhythm of the day unfolding.

No need to pack props—Nereus’ beautiful jungle-view yoga shala is fully stocked with high-quality cork mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets. You’re welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer, but it’s not necessary.
